ALA Webinar Library Available to Members 24/7 at No Additional Fee

Starting in 2024, ALA is offering all members free access to the popular On-demand Training Library — which now features all webinars immediately after they air, including the recent April session featuring Dan Blitzer, FIES, LC, titled Winning Techniques for Selling Residential Lighting

In the past, there was an additional fee associated with ALA's live webinars; however, as part of the new member benefits that rolled out this year, there is no longer a fee for ALA's monthly webinar courses. Every employee at all ALA-member companies can access live and recorded ALA webinar sessions.

Members can access all free sessions online here. Contact Nici Juneau for the library password.

Free access to the on-demand library is just one of many new services and programs that ALA has unveiled to members this year — including a national healthcare plan, which is saving money for companies of all sizes.

Along with the webinars, ALA has launched a free member forum series, which consists of regularly scheduled virtual meetings between ALA members and featuring noted experts speaking on topics relevant to each segment of the membership.

Next month’s member forum will be held Wednesday, May 15, at 12 p.m., CDT. The topic is targeted to manufacturer members and will cover the extended producer responsibility laws related to plastic and packaging of products. Rachel Michelin, president of the California Retailers Association, will briefly touch on California’s SB 54 — the state law that implemented goals for reducing packaging and packaging waste, shifting the burden of responsibility away from the consumers and to the producer. There will be approximately 30 minutes of discussion for members to ask questions and share their ideas with each other. To register, click here
