ALA's manufacturer members will not want to miss this one-of-a-kind session focused on understanding extended producer responsibility laws that are popping across the United States and Canada. Rachel Michelin will kick off the forum with a brief presentation, then the meeting will open to all members for discussion. Hear firsthand about California’s SB 54, the state law that implemented goals for reducing packaging and packaging waste and shifted the burden of responsibility away from the consumer and to the producer. If you have ideas, questions, or examples to share with the group, you can send them to ALA's Senior Director of Education Nici Juneau prior to the event, and/or bring them up during the live meeting.
