Back by popular demand! In order to satisfy the unprecedented call for ALA’s live Residential Lighting Training Course (Intermediate/Advanced) yet limiting the class size to keep instructor-student engagement high for a more personalized experience, ALA has scheduled the online course to take place multiple times throughout the year.
The next session of the virtual course will be held in October and you’ll want to register early because these seats fill up fast.
Online classes are held two days per week for a two-week period in order to provide maximum flexibility to accommodate attendees’ work schedules.
Below are the Live Zoom session dates for the October course:
First Week: Wednesday, October 16 & Friday, October 18
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EST, followed by a two-hour session break, and then the class resumes from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST
Second Week: Wednesday, October 23 & Friday, October 25
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EST, followed by a two-hour session break, and then the class resumes from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST
(Exact Zoom link details and times will be provided to participants)
ALA’s instructor, Joe Rey-Barreau, AIA, IES, will guide students through the newly revised Residential Lighting Training Manual, which was just released this year. The live Zoom format allows Rey-Barreau to answer questions in real time; however, all sessions are recorded in case you miss a class.
While the Residential Lighting Training Manual is available for any ALA member to purchase, only students registered for the Residential Lighting Training Course will have access to the course’s materials.
The class fee is $600 per participant and includes four days of virtual training sessions. The Residential Lighting Training Manual is required for each student and the $399 fee includes the physical manual and the exam fee for the Lighting Specialist certification.
You can order your copy of the manual here.
