American Lighting Association Announces Healthcare Plan as Exclusive Member Benefit

Starting in January 2024, the American Lighting Association (ALA) will offer a healthcare plan available exclusively to ALA members. The ALA Members Health Plan was developed to support all ALA members affected by the rising cost of healthcare in the U.S. and features unlimited major medical coverage for individuals and companies of all sizes, from one employee to 1,000+ employees.

The ALA Members Health Plan is a comprehensive plan that covers physician and hospital visits, prescription medications, laboratory services, and diagnostic tests. The plan, developed in collaboration with Next Level Insurance Agency and Health Cooperative Strategies, leverages the purchasing power of the association to provide healthcare benefits at competitive and affordable rates, with premiums as low as $306 per month.

“The rising costs of healthcare affect all of us and have been especially challenging for our independent showroom and manufacturer representative members,” said ALA President and CEO Larry Lauck. “We are excited to offer a cost-effective, high-quality health plan. We hope this program will not only help our members save money, but also allow ALA-member companies to create competitive benefits packages for their employees to help them attract and retain talent.”

Built exclusively for ALA members, their employees and dependents, this plan offers multiple designs, a wide selection of deductibles, and low-cost options making it easy for members to find the right fit. The plan provides access to a broad, nationwide network of healthcare providers, physicians, and pharmacies. Those interested in seeing if their current providers are within network may contact ALA's dedicated agent, whose contact information is listed at the bottom of this article.

Through ALA’s partnership with Next Level Insurance Agency, ALA members also have access to an experienced team of knowledgeable insurance professionals available to provide advice and expertise about their healthcare plan options. While the plan begins Jan. 1, 2024, ALA members can join at the first of any month.
