ALA Conference Returns in Live Music Capital of the World®
Expert Speakers to Cover Key Industry Topics from Branding to Housing Market Predictions
For the first time since 2019, the ALA Conference is set to return as the lighting industry’s premier event focused on networking and education. Industry members from across the U.S. and Canada will gather Sept. 11-13, in Austin, Texas, at the brand-new Austin Marriott Downtown.
Known as the Live Music Capital of the World®, Austin has also become one of the fastest growing and most technologically advanced cities in the world. This combination of culture and innovation, makes Austin an exciting host city to reintroduce the ALA Conference. The Conference Committee also plans to take advantage of the thriving Austin nightlife, hosting events in some of the city’s most popular spots, such as the opening reception at Bull & Bowl.
In addition to the social events focused on strengthening and growing connections with leaders from across the industry, the 2022 ALA Conference will also feature keynote presentations and breakout education sessions on some of the most important topics facing the industry today.
Renowned brand strategist Gerry O’Brion will kick off the event with a keynote presentation on branding, teaching attendees his framework of innovation and influence designed to show businesses how to become the number-one choice in their industry. O’Brion will discuss how to create disruptive strategies and messaging to attract the ideal customers and close sales in a competitive, sometimes commoditized, market. He will review his Power of BECAUSE framework, which has been utilized by leading retailers, manufacturers, and distributors to clarify their message, drive referrals and close sales.
The past two years have seen incredible growth and evolution in the housing industry. In his Tuesday morning keynote address, leading Real Estate Consultant John Burns will share his firm’s views of shifts in the housing market, digging into the details of what is happening across the country. His presentation will feature insights from some of the biggest names in the construction industry, highlighting both the tremendous growth opportunities, as well as affordability risks, facing today’s market.
In addition to the two keynote presentations, the event will feature breakout sessions on key topics such as developing effective business and sales strategies as well as recent technical innovations and the impact they will have.
Members who register by March 11, 2022, to attend the ALA Conference will automatically receive $100 off their registration fees. Due to the popularity of the city and major events going on the weekend of the ALA Conference, such as the UT vs. Alabama football game, rooms in the discounted ALA room block at the Austin Marriott Downtown are limited.
