Top New Features on the ALA Website

The new ALA website launches this January. Along with the improvements to the site design and increase in user friendliness, the website also features a variety of content members can easily integrate into their businesses.

Content is Key
The ALA website is now filled with up-to-date, meaningful content on lighting trends, design inspiration and fundamental lighting knowledge. Members can share ALA’s lighting blog RSS feed on their own sites, and pull content on lighting fundamentals to share with their customers.

Taking Charge of Professional Education
The education platform on the website has received a major facelift. Members will now have the ability to create their own profiles on the website where they can log in and take charge of their professional education. It will be much easier to track completed courses, access content members have already purchased, keep up with recertification requirements, and more. With the recent launch of ALA’s new sales training webinar courses and the upcoming release of the new Residential Lighting Training Manual, there is plenty to focus on when it comes to the education platform on the new site.

A Focus on Member Needs
When approaching the new website design, the association staff felt it was important to focus on making all of ALA’s content more accessible to members. Therefore, the professionals side of the website has been broken down by membership category. Whether the site visitor is a manufacturer, a sales representative, a showroom owner or employee, designer, or associate, each member category now has a dedicated landing page highlighting the content most relevant to them.

Staying in the Know
Not only is the new website fully responsive on every device, making it easy to visit on the go, it will now feature up-to-date association and industry news and content, released as it becomes available. From updates on government regulations and activities, to the latest in ALA education offerings, the site can now better serve as a go-to resource for industry members.
