This June during Lightovation, June 19 - 22, ALA will host various events and committee meetings at the Dallas Trade Mart. In the surrounding weeks, additional committee meetings will be held virtually.

Better Light, Better Sleep

The topic of light and health is gaining popularity and creating new opportunities for lighting manufacturers and retailers. The ALA Better Light, Better Sleep program was developed by ALA with the support of The Light and Health Research Center at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The program is designed to support ALA-member manufacturers in the development of circadian-effective lighting products, as well as provide education on the benefits of these types of products. In this session, Jennifer Brons of The Light and Health Research Center will explain what circadian-effective lighting is, why it matters, and how ALA-member manufacturers have already developed products that fall into this category. Plus, learn how to engage with customers, answer questions, and provide circadian-effective lighting solutions.
