Lightology Invites ALA Members to Attend Free Course on Color in Architectural Lighting
May 15 at 2 p.m., CDT, Lightology is hosting a CEU course titled Demystifying Color in Architectural Lighting. The course, which can be attended live, in person at the Lightology showroom in Chicago or virtually will dive into the intricacies of LED lighting in architecture, including color, circadian rhythms, and advanced controls for integration with building systems.
All ALA members are invited to attend either the in-person or virtual course for an in-depth discussion led by Drew Goldman and Blake Matthew of PureEdge Lighting. Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to apply LED technology effectively, focusing on the production of white and colored light, the role of black body curve in color tuning, and the strategic use of saturated colors in lighting design.
Emphasizing the impact of lighting on human circadian rhtyhms, the course delves into various circadian lighting methodologies. It compares the perspectives from prominent authorities such as WLL, CIE, and LHRC, clarifying key concepts like Circadian Stimulus (CS), Equivalent Melanopic Lex (EML), and Daysimeter Reading (DR).
Furthermore, the course addresses the specification of advanced lighting controls in dynamic lighting systems. It provides an in-depth look at the integration of lighting technology with building systems and human behavior, exploring control platforms such as DALI, DMC, 01-10V, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Members can register for the in-person course here or sign up to attend virtually here.
