Kayaking Excursion Planned for ALA Conference in Lake Tahoe

The ALA Conference Committee recently announced a kayaking trip planned for attendees of the 2023 ALA Conference in Lake Tahoe, Sept. 10-12.

The event will take attendees on a guided tour of Lake Tahoe, allowing attendees to take in the scenery and learn about the area’s history. The tour is open to all levels of experience and is designed to allow members to build lasting connections with fellow Conference attendees.

The event requires pre-registration and guides will be assigned to participants, so space is limited. Registration fees cover all equipment needed to kayak, bottled water, snacks, and the tour guide. Time on the water will be around 3 hours and includes breaks to hear more about the area and enjoy the scenery. Buses will depart from the hotel at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, and return around 1 p.m.
