Updated Lighting Associate Courses Now Available

The newly updated Lighting Associate (LA) training program is now available online. The course program covers the most up-to-date technical information, design trends, and more

The LA program provides well-rounded knowledge of the lighting industry, and can be beneficial to anyone in the lighting industry.

"I have been in the lighting showroom industry since 1987. I just took the first class in the new Lighting Associate cirriculum, and I was so excited," said David Cramer, General Manager, at Bright Light Design Center. "This is very current, on topic, and will help all associates understand the womnderful world of lighting." 

 

The updated course topics include:

1.    Light, Light Sources and Color
2.    Electricity and Luminaires
3.    Solid State (LED) Lighting
4.    Recessed Lighting
5.    Track Lighting & LED Tape
6.    Outdoor and Landscape Lighting
7.    Ceiling Fans
8.    Lighting Controls
9.    Lighting Plans and Kitchen, Pantry, and Dining Lighting
10.  Living, Foyer, Bath, Bedroom, and Closet Lighting

There is also a bonus course included in the program, which covers the future of lighting. 

To learn more about the LA program members can watch this introductory video, which provides an overview of what will be covered. The fee for this course program is $299, which includes all courses and the final exam. Members must pass the final exam with an 80% or better to earn their LA accreditation.
