DOE Ceiling Fan Conservation Standards Finalized

<p>May 24, the Department of Energy (DOE) published, in the Federal Register, a notice indicating the DOE has determined that it will not revisit the ceiling fan efficiency standards rulemaking. Therefore, the standards will become effective on Sept. 30, 2017, and the compliance date for covered ceiling fans will be Jan. 21, 2020. This action by DOE will hopefully bring some assurances to ceiling fan manufacturers.</p>
