Press Releases

ALA produces press releases throughout the year, which are distributed through PR Newswire to major publications. The releases focus on promoting the sale and proper application of quality lighting, ceiling fan and control products to consumers. Members of ALA are encouraged to share these releases on their websites, blogs and across social media platforms. They can also be shared with local media.

One of the new ALA member benefits that launched this year is the availability of most webinars – completely free for the first time –  to be viewed on demand whenever it is convenient.

The most recent session, Advanced Lighting Layout: Cabinet Lighting and Millwork—How to Detail and Specify, aired in August and features popular lighting designer Peter Romaniello, IALD, as the instructor.

Other recent free sessions include Winning Techniques for Selling Residential Lighting with renowned instructor Dan Blitzer, FIES, LC; Advanced Lighting Layout—How to Incorporate Lighting Controls into a Design/Defining Responsibilities with Peter Romaniello; and Unique Lighting Design Solutions—How to Apply Design Thinking as a Tool to Critically Assess a Project and Develop Unique Design Solutions featuring speaker Derek Porter, IALD, MIES Associate Professor of Lighting.

In addition to the wide variety of training sessions in each category of membership, the free on-demand library includes recordings of the LIVE Member Forums – another new member benefit in 2024 – that cover topics such as upcoming packaging laws affecting the lighting industry as well as reimagining your lighting business to engage and inspire.

Be sure to visit the Free On Demand Training Library to increase your lighting knowledge any time of day or night.

Contact Nici Juneau, Senior Director of Education, for the member password to access the library.
