2021 ALA Engineering Meeting

Monday, November 22, 2021/Categories: News, Engineering & Technology, Showrooms, Reps, Newsletters, Technology

Interested in the technical aspects of residential lighting? Join us this year online for the presentations at the ALA Engineering Meeting during the afternoons of Monday & Tuesday, November 29-30 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM (ET)

The meeting of the ALA Engineering Committee is more than a yearly chance to exchange lighting technical information with colleagues. It’s a opportunity to explore new technology, to see if and how it might be applied to lighting products and to discuss lighting standards and changes in regulations that can affect how lighting products are designed, promoted and sold.

This year, we’ve broadened the meeting invitation to include all ALA members as we move into the post-pandemic times when many new lighting products will be introduced, We’ll address questions about the fast-growing connected home products and system platforms as well as provide information about the emerging light and health technology as it changes from a qualitative lighting concept to a design practice that can be quantified, applied using familiar lamp and luminaire ratings and perhaps even certified from a product standpoint.

Monday, November 29 will be devoted to Codes and Standards. Tuesday, November 30 will cover Technology.

See the attached documents below for presentations , speakers and other agenda details.
