ALA Invites Members to Contribute Photos, Content to New Website

With the launch of the updated ALA website, the association has announced several new opportunities for members to play an active role in this revamped industry resource. As the association turns is focus to creating a stronger, more robust digital presence that serves both consumers and industry professionals alike, it is more important than ever for ALA members to be prominently featured across the association’s digital platforms.

Photo Features
As members click through ALA’s website, they will notice that beautiful images of ALA-member manufacturer lighting products are front and center. Through ALA’s recent research, it became clear that consumers are most drawn to image-heavy content when searching for lighting inspiration. Currently, ALA manufacturer images that are featured in and provided to ALA for Lighting magazine are shown across the consumer side of the website. To keep content fresh and highlight the most recent manufacturer images, members are encouraged to continue to provide their application images to ALA to share across the site. All images are tagged and linked back to the manufacturer who provided the photo.

Guest Articles
The ALA blog is prominently featured on the new website, so keeping content fresh and constantly updated is a top priority. ALA members have several opportunities to be featured in these blog posts. Members are welcome to provide guest articles they have written for the blog, volunteer to be interviewed by ALA staff members for articles, or provide images they would like to accompany ALA’s blog posts. All ALA blog articles focus primarily on educating consumers on the latest lighting trends, tips, technical resources or other informative content.

Social Highlights
Along with the launch of the new website, ALA has also overhauled its social media presence. ALA members can now be featured over the association’s Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook accounts. Members can provide photos and/or lighting design information for the association to share with links back to the members’ websites or social media accounts.

Members interested in learning more about these opportunities or in sharing content with ALA to be featured may contact ALA Marketing Manager Raelle Bell at Raelle@ALALighting.com.
