ALA Launches Women in the Industry Group During Conference

On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 12, the association hosted its inaugural event for the newly established Women in the Industry group. During the event, the women attending conference enjoyed a private reception, where they networked and heard an inspiring kick-off speech from Littman Brands Vice President of Sales and Marketing Kellee Hammond. The group was created as a way for women in the lighting industry interested in networking and connecting to share ideas, experiences and tips, with the goal of enhancing each other’s careers and the industry as a whole. ALA staff liaisons to the group will be Amy Wommack, communications manager; and Liz Ware, program manager. A Facebook group has been created for the group, and emails will be sent out with future meeting dates and events. To be added to the Facebook group, members may email Liz Ware at eware@americanlightingassoc.com.
