ALA Releases 2017 Lighting Trends Videos

The 2017 ALA and Better Homes and Gardens lighting trends videos are now available for members to share with their customers. Annually, the ALA BiNational Advertising and PR Program partners with its premium Lighting magazine advertisers to create videos covering the top trends in lighting.

New to this year’s video programming, ALA and the editors at Better Homes and Gardens looked to the manufacturer advertisers to develop the trends. This allowed the advertisers to highlight their most popular and up-and-coming lines, while delivering information on what truly are the hottest trends of 2017. Trending topics included smart homes and home automation, outdoor living, mixing styles and materials, and the growing popularity of black as a fixture finish.

“We are constantly working to improve upon and expand the materials and resources provided by the BiNational Advertising and PR Program,” said ALA Executive Vice President Larry Lauck. “This year, we were excited to take a different approach in producing these videos. By allowing the manufacturers, who are the true experts in lighting, to guide the topics of these videos, we have produced content that is sure to resonate with both industry members and consumers.”

All of the 2017 lighting trends videos are available on ALA’s Design Ideas website and YouTube channel. Members are encouraged to share these links across the internet and with their customers. To receive high-resolution files, or with questions about the videos, members may contact Lauck at llauck@americanlightingassoc.com or Amy Wommack, ALA communications manager, at awommack@americanlightingassoc.com.
