Call for 2018 Lighting Magazine Manufacturer Photos

The next issue of Lighting magazine will hit newsstands April 2018. Manufacturers who support the ALA BiNational Advertising and PR Program are invited to submit images for Lighting magazine by Nov. 17. The magazine, in its 12th year of production by the ALA BiNational Program, in partnership with Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Media, is the only national consumer magazine dedicated solely to the residential lighting and ceiling fan industry.

The 2018 edition will feature even more lighting design and content geared toward ALA showroom member customers. More information on lighting kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor spaces will be included in this year’s issue.

Additionally, product and application photos will again be seamlessly integrated throughout the sections. Text and photographs will work together to give readers insight into lighting their homes, and the combination will highlight trends, interesting shapes and notable materials. Each section will also end with a Bright Ideas spread, which will be filled with hardworking tips and ideas.

The front of the book will highlight interesting current topics in lighting, including light bulb advances, ceiling fans, smart home controls, the Lighting for Tomorrow awards, lighting and color, and more. In the back of the book, there will once again be a detailed lighting workbook designed to help readers plan and budget for their lighting designs.

Manufacturer Photographs Due Nov. 17

The 2018 issue will exclusively feature photography by ALA Manufacturers. All ALA manufacturers who participate in the BiNational Advertising and PR Program are encouraged to submit product and application photos by Nov. 17, 2017. Photos must be in digital format and a minimum of 300 dpi resolution. All images may be emailed to Kelly Roberson at kelly@kellyroberson.com, or mailed to 2831 Ridge Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50312, along with the photo submission form. The 2018 photo submission form is available at americanlightingassoc.com, or members can email Amy Wommack at awommack@americanlightingassoc.com for a copy. Members will receive a response indicating receipt of their submissions. Extremely large files should be sent via CD, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or through FTP download.

Advertising Space Reservations

Advertising space in Lighting is reserved for ALA manufacturer members. Full-page and half-page advertising space is available. Ad closing is Feb. 7, 2018.
