Women in Lighting

This ALA committee is an all-inclusive group of lighting industry professionals dedicated to providing opportunities to:

  • Network with other women in the lighting industry

  • Recognize and encourage achievement and leadership of women in the lighting industry

  • Provide mentoring opportunities for women of all levels of expertise

Women in Lighting Committee is raising funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) in the name of Karen Krieger who recently passed away. Karen was vice president of BC Sales, and her husband, Brad, president of BC Sales, serves on the ALA Manufacturing Representative Steering Committee. Karen’s aunt, Martha Graham of Martha Graham & Associates, is an involved ALA Women in Lighting Committee member.

We have created a limited-edition collectible pin with the intent to establish an annual fundraising initiative for a worthy cause around each Conference. This year’s pins are sponsored by Visual Comfort & Co. making it possible to donate 100 percent of the $20 purchase price to support OCRA in Karen’s memory. The association and Women in Lighting Committee are grateful for the opportunity to honor Karen and her family.

Monday, February 20, 2023/Categories: News, ALA News, Conference, Showrooms, Reps, Women in Lighting

Every ALA member who attends the annual conference has their unique reasons for attending. We went to the ALA members and staff to ask them how attending the conference in Lake Tahoe, September 10 - 12 can help their business.

See their reasons, and scroll down to find out how to add your reasons.

Tell us your reasons, using your phone or any computer with a camera.

To make a Conference Testimonial, go to https://vocalvideo.com/c/ala-conference-i-m-going-are-you

You will answer four questions, one at a time:

  • Introduce yourself, and the company you work for.

  • Why do you come to the ALA Conference?

  • Tell us one great story from a previous conference.

  • If you plan to go, please say "I'm going!  Are you?" Alternatively, you can add any additional  thoughts about the ALA Conference.
