Jacobson Testifies Before Section 301 Committee

On behalf of the membership, Eric Jacobson, president and CEO of ALA, testified earlier today before the Section 301 Committee in Washington, DC. His message was simple and direct: the lighting industry is overwhelmingly opposed to tariffs.

In List 4, the United States Trade Representative has proposed a 25-percent tariff on LEDs and ceiling fans. The proposed tariff would be in addition to the tariffs already in place for these products.

ALA supports protecting American businesses against harmful Chinese practices, but tariffs are not the answer.
