List 4 Tariff Update - Testify at Public Hearing

Tariffs are bad for business and now is a great time to take action. Outlined below are several opportunities to engage in the tariff issue:

Testify at the List 4 public hearing*
The public is invited to testify before USTR’s Section 301 Committee regarding the products included in List 4 (LEDs and ceiling fans). The deadline to file a request to appear is June 10. Submit your request to appear.

*Please note that the public hearing is scheduled to begin on June 17 and could potentially last for up to two weeks. The week of June 17 is June 2019 Lightovation.

Submit comments for List 4
Can’t make it to testify? Submit company specific comments to the docket. The deadline to submit comments is June 17.

Provide input to ALA’s List 4 comments
ALA will be submitting comments regarding List 4. Members are encouraged to send all concerns, anecdotes and suggested language to me.

Add your company’s voice to the Americans for Free Trade/Tariffs Hurt the Heartland effort
ALA is part of a larger network of companies and associations working to remove the tariffs. Join the effort; submit the company sign-on letter for List 4. The deadline to sign on is June 12.

Tell Congress that tariffs are bad for business
Make sure you keep your elected officials informed of your opinions on tariffs.
