Content Specific to Lighting Will Help Members Prepare for the Future
During the 2022 ALA Conference in Austin, Texas, Real Estate Consultant John Burns will share his firm’s views on the shifts in the housing market, digging into the details of what is happening across the country. Burns has a team of more than 100 people researching how current factors, economic and otherwise, are impacting the market and what can be expected over the next few years.
In a video previewing his keynote address, Burns details how he will dive into the current housing market and the role investors are playing in housing cost and inventory. He will also explore the change in mortgage rates and explain how that will affect the market moving forward.
Burns hints that the current climate is ripe for explosive growth in the remodeling industry, yet the increases in labor and materials costs, as well as supply chain issues, will play an important role. He will share opportunities in remodeling while diving into the complicated supply chain in lighting.
Burns’ keynote session will cover the tremendous growth opportunities as well as the affordability risks, all from the unique perspective of the lighting industry. He will also discuss the temporary and possibly permanent changes that will come in the housing industry.
